Olympic fever arrived in Leamington on Sunday as thousands turned out to see the Torch relay pass through the town. The reception vidicated the decision of the Council to contribute to the cost of the relay coming in to the District for this truely ‘once in a lifetime’ event.

Councillor Alan Boad, remarked after the torch had passed and the crowds had dispersed about how little litter had been left by the massive crowds, “Well done Leamington!”
