A  new system of ‘linear parking charges’ will be introduced in Leamington Town centre from July, with a minimum charge of 20p.
This will mean that on and off street charges will be the same, and the on-street charge will mostly come down. The new charges will be as follows:
Minimum charge – 20p for 12 mins

50p for 30 mins,  £1 for one hour,  £2 for two hours.

Linear charging means that you will get the time that you pay for:   e.g. 60p = 36 mins, £1.50 = 90mins

This proposed change will give more choice and flexibility from the current rigid system, what you pay for is what you get, particularly useful if you don’t have the exact change!
